Christmas comes early for NHS Lothian at Royal Edinburgh Hospital
NHS Lothian has taken the keys to the first phase of its brand new Royal Edinburgh Hospital Campus, a £48m building incorporating mental health, psychiatry and a brain injury unit.

Undertaken by Hub South East Scotland, Norr Architects and Morrison Construction the build, which precedes two additional phases of construction. The second phase will see a new facilities management centre and integrated rehabilitation centre built alongside the refurbishment of MacKinnon House.

David Wilson, operations director for Morrison Construction, said: “The new hospital is a first class facility and will transform and enhance healthcare for patients and staff and I very much look forward to seeing the hospital campus up-and-running and welcoming patients in 2017.”

Services will begin to roll out at the new facility in the New Year during a phased migration of staff.
