Spades in ground at West Calder High
Morrison Construction have begun construction of a £32m West Calder High School in West Lothian capable of accepting 1,100 pupils at full capacity when it opens in 2018.

Pupils and the wider community will benefit from a swimming pool, floodlit 3G pitch and other sports facilities being delivered on behalf of West Lothian Council and Hub South East.

Hub South East Scotland chief executive Paul McGirk, said: "After working in partnership with West Lothian Council on the design and development of this exciting new High School, it’s exciting to reach the major milestone of construction and see the plans closer to becoming a reality.

The Norr designed campus has necessitated construction of a £5.5m rail overbridge and access road to be built, offering direct access to the campus from the A71.

£32million? £3.20 more like going by the visual!

Oh, and what's with the big lass on the left- she's in daylight while the scene is in darkness....

@Gringo It's the last resort of the Revit-operator.
‘Try putting trees in front of it Dave.... no, you can still see it. Overly prominent human figures to distract the eye? No, nothings going to stop them zooming in on that thing. I know, got it! The night-time shot. Sweeet – like the end of Grand Designs. They’ll love that..
…Actually, stick a giant girl in it just in case.’
