NHS Grampian progresses £134m Forresterhill health campus expansion
NHS Grampian is pressing ahead with a £134m expansion of its Forresterhill health campus in Aberdeen with the appointment of Graham Construction as main contractor for two separate health facilities.

Billed as the largest project yet procured via the Scottish NHS framework the project will entail construction of a new Baird Family Hospital drawing together services currently spread across the Aberdeen maternity Hospital and Royal Infirmary.

It will also see a new Anchor Centre built to provide day-patient and outpatient services relocated from the Royal.

Jackie Bremner, NHS Grampian project director for the project, said: “We look forward to working with our partners at GRAHAM Construction to create high quality modern facilities that will help enable us to deliver quality care designed for the future for the people of the North East, North of Scotland and the Northern Isles.”

Construction work on the Norr designed campus is expected to get underway by mid-2018 for completion by 2020.
