Dunblane School wins permission in principle

The MoD funded boarding school is pressing ahead with a phased redevelopment and modernisation spearheaded by Holmes Miller in collaboration with Horner + MacLennan landscape architects.
This work will see the existing estate and grounds rationalised with the addition of a new teaching block, accommodation, a pipes and drums centre, dance hall, stores and dining kitchen.
The brick clad teaching block will be given a serrated roofline to tie-in with surrounding architecture with large glazed panels to the north offering views over neighbouring playing fields.
As part of this work a number of surplus unlisted buildings will be demolished.

Looks pretty good in the visual- hope the detail design stage doesn't see muckle gutters, downpipes and roof eaves introduced though.

@2 ... Ah the perils of reality my good man. I dreamed a dream last night .... of a world where things could be held, nae suspended from the clouds. Floating and undulating on landscape of structureless fascina .... Whit?! Gutters ?! What d'ya mean its contractor designed ?

If it's at Planning in Principle stage, then I guess the image is more artists impression than designed scheme ready for gutter detailing...

Personally I hope the detail design stage does not see the removal of the grey ghost girl staring forlornly at the sky, who do these blinking contractors think they are...
