3,000 home Aberdeen neighbourhood to move on-site
Infrastructure work is set to commence at Countesswells, Aberdeen, by the end of the month following approval in principle for 3,000 new homes.

Delivered by Stewart Milne Homes, Heron Property and Ian Suttie the £1bn scheme is being phased in through to 2021 and will include a mix of schools, leisure and healthcare facilities across three main phases of work.

This will include upgraded roads, pedestrian links and the introduction of new retail and employment uses on 410 acres of land situated seven miles from the city centre.

At its heart will be Countesswells central park, claimed to be the first of its kind in Scotland for a century, which will offer space for outdoor activities.

But it's ok guys. What we're going to do is change the timing on a few traffic signals, perhaps provide a 3-car long filter lane, and despite the extra 6000 cars the existing congestion on the North Deeside Road is going to get better. Hallelujah!
