Cumbernauld multis make way for low-rise homes
Social landlord Sanctuary Housing has unveiled designs for 111 new flats to be built on the site of three recently demolished tower blocks at Allanfauld Road, Seafar.

The £12.7m project has been overseen by Mast Architects and is scheduled for completion by summer 2017.

Bruce, Buchan and Douglas House are the first of Cumbernauld’s 12 tower blocks to be demolished in a £75m regeneration drive through to 2021 that will deliver 400 new homes.

The regeneration drive is being spearheaded by the Scottish government and North Lanarkshire Council.
