Veterans housing completes in Carnoustie & Inverness
Scottish Veterans Garden City Association, a charity tasked with supporting disabled war veterans, has taken possession of ten new homes at two sites in Inverness and Carnoustie.

Delivered in partnership with Graham + Sibbald and local authorities the work saw delivery of five home sin Carnoustie designed for affordable rent at a cost of £500k.

In Inverness a further five homes have been provided, comprising four semi-detached properties and one detached house.
David Ross, construction partner at Graham + Sibbald, said: “These latest developments are part of a larger scale project across Scotland with Houses for Heroes and I am delighted that we are at handover stage on two of the sites. We have also started construction on a number of properties in Lanarkshire which should be completed in the summer.”

A separate project is underway in Wishaw with a site in Motherwell set to get underway in March.

Not the best, pretty mundane, and blank wall to the main road - at least the existing Camus House had some mature landscaping to the street.

Hmm hmm. Veterans owe a great deal to those to whom have louder actions than words. The comments above are somewhat dated, and most probably the time passed between then and now has delivered a deal more insight of the effort and moderated the opinions penned by the authors.
