Stirling Care Village plans progress
Hub East Central has been given the nod by the Scottish Government to progress a new JM Architects designed ‘care village’ within the grounds of Stirling Community Hospital, offering an integrated health, GP and social care environment for patients.

Approval of the outline case clears the way for detailed design work to take place to make a fully costed business case for the venture on behalf of NHS Forth Valley.

Neil McCormick, chief executive, Hub East Central Scotland, said: “Our team has worked very closely with NHS Forth Valley and Stirling Council to ensure that the programme continues to move towards successful completion. Our aim is to ensure best value and deliver high quality, purpose built facilities that meet the needs of the community.”

If approved this could see work get underway later this year for completion by summer 2017.
