Four teams shortlisted for Thames footbridge
Four teams have been shortlisted from a long list of 74 entrants to design a new public footbridge connecting the Nine Elms regeneration area to Pimlico in London.

Amongst their number are Edinburgh based landscape architects Gross Max who have teamed up with Ove Arup & Partners Ltd with AL_A, Equals Consulting and Movement Strategies.

They will go head-to head for the prestigious commission against engineering giant Buro Happold who are partnering with Marks Barfield Architects, J&L Gibbons Landscape Architects, Gardiner and Theobald.

Ove Arup & Partners meanwhile will have a second bite at the cherry in the form of a second entry, this time in conjunction with Hopkins Architects and Grant Associates.

Rounding out the quartet is Bystrup Architecture Design and Engineering, who are paired with Robin Snell & Partners, Sven Ole Hansen ApS, Aarsleff and +àF Lighting.

All the shortlisted teams will now develop detailed designs for their concepts with the winner to be named by Wandsworth Council in the autumn.
