ISG complete £1.3m Network Rail fit-out
Construction services contractor ISG has completed a £1.2m refurbishment of Network Rail’s office accommodation at St Vincent Street, Glasgow, overhauling six floors of the property to create cellular office space, meeting rooms and a staff deli.

Designed by AHR Architects the fit-out provides 3,950sq/ft of office accommodation within an existing 1980s building following a phased programme of works that ensured staff were able to remain in occupation throughout the build as mechanical and electrical services were overhauled.

Lead architect Lynn Amabile commented: “The strong design concept created for the project, ‘Earth Strata’, has allowed for a unique yet harmonious design to each floor, aiding the orientation of users throughout the building, while creating a contemporary workplace with a number of feature breakout areas. These areas, along with the office as a whole, have been very well received by the staff at Network Rail, who settled into their new space effortlessly.”

Andy McLinden, ISG’s Scotland regional managing director, added: “The burgeoning hospitality market sees our specialist sector expertise in strong demand and working with Network Rail in Glasgow further strengthens our relationship with this longstanding and important national customer.”

ISG has also commenced construction of a £5m Premier Inn hotel and supermarket in St Andrews, scheduled to complete in time for next summer’s British Open Golf Championship.
