Perth Premier Inn unveiled
A £4.5m Premier Inn hotel has opened its doors on Mill Street, Perth, following conversion of the former Pullar’s dyeworks factory.

Developed by Deansway/Muir Group and designed by Archial Norr the property is situated next to Perth Concert Hall and is contained within the shell of the 19th century mill and later 1930’s extension.

These have been subjected to minimal exterior interventions to the front whilst to the rear windows have been replaced to create a more symmetrical appearance with new render applied.

In their design statement Archial Norr said: “The redevelopment offers sympathetic conversion of a vacant building which is located in a prominent position within an important Conservation Area.”

The 83 bedroom hotel will play host to a separate restaurant after chartered surveyors Graham + Sibbald announced the sale of premises to local restaurateur Kisa’s for £444k.

Good to see a lovely old building re-used. Premier Inn's refurbishment hotels seem better than their newbuild counterparts.

That looks lovely. A rare but welcome architectural success story involving Premier Inn.

Nice to see that the concrete lovin' modernist brigade didn't get to attack the stone building and overclad it in plastic a la the flagship premier inn on the Clyde in Glasgow.

There's hope yet.

Glad to see that Premier Inn continue to be able to successfully adapt their stringent model to the refurb market. Sensitively done, and right next to the Conference Centre. Nice work by Deanway/Muir/Archial Norr.

ahem, it's Deanway, not Deansway.
Deansway are a Worcestershire-based web design Company.
Deanway are an established Scottish Developer...
