Demolition of twin Knightswood tower blocks gets underway
Glasgow Housing Association has commenced work on the demolition of two tower blocks at Knightswood, Glasgow.

Numbers 240 and 280 Lincoln Avenue are being brought down following the relocation of residents and the refurbishment of four remaining blocks on the estate, part of a wider regeneration programme which recently saw the demolition of another two nearby blocks in Scotstoun.

This saw overcladding works by Wates together with window and roof replacements to improve their insulation and thermal performance.

Technical Demolition Services are currently carrying out a soft strip of both Lincoln Avenue blocks pending their demolition by long-reach crane.
