Dunlop submits Maryhill children’s home for planning
Alan Dunlop Architect has submitted a planning application for a new school, respite home and residential space on behalf of children’s charity East Park at Maryhill Road, Glasgow.

The scheme will entail demolition of the existing Katrine House and formation of a new quadrangle and entrance spaces overseen by landscape architects ERZ. Simple brick-clad facilities will be arranged around this space to impart a sense of place.

Commenting on the application Dunlop said: “East Park want to establish a centre of excellence in Glasgow for the residential care and teaching of young people with very special needs, including autism. I'm working with a talented design team, on a challenging project and for a committed, enthusiastic and engaging client... what more could an architect wish for."

Work is expected to start on site in June should the application be successful.
