Aitken Turnbull acquire Border Architects
Aitken Turnbull Architects have announced their acquisition of Border Architects, a move which will see Border’s Marc Haslam, and Rob Slaney moving to Aitken Turnbull’s Galashiels and Edinburgh offices respectively.

The move follows formation of a ‘strategic alliance partnership’ between the practice and Belfast-based Todd Architects, specialists in health and education.

Known as ATTA the newly formed partnership will see 25 professional and technical staff at Aiken Turnbull collaborate with 35 staff at Todd from existing offices in Belfast, Dublin, Dumfries, Edinburgh, Galashiels and London.

This teamwork has already borne some fruit with the pair partnering with HOK on a number of projects as well as gaining a position on Health Facilities Scotland Framework 2 and HUB South West Scotland

In a statement Aitken Turnbull said: “We see great potential for business expansion where our combined experience and reputation, coupled with design flair and innovative approach, will allow us to target new opportunities across the UK and into emerging overseas markets.”
