Elgin shopping mall expansion set for approval

Robertson Property and Upland Developments are seeking to build an additional 4,500sq/m of space, doubling the size of the existing centre.
Designed by Archial the scheme will see the façade retention of a C-listed building on the High Street to allow construction of a new four storey retail development connected to the existing St Giles Centre behind.
Councillors are expected to green light the scheme in light of the potential beneficial effects to Elgin’s High Street and to combat growing competition from Inverness and Aberdeen.
A final decision will be made later today.

Agree with Catflap. This is no ordinary, 'hidden' rear elevation, and more attention should have been be paid to it.
