Robertson unveil £5.2m Whitley Bay community hub
Construction services group Robertson has unveiled a £5.2m community hub at Whitley Bay, Tyne & Wear, the latest in a series of projects to be delivered in partnership with the NHS and Newcastle and North Tyneside Councils.

Officially opened by Ant & Dec the Customer First Centre offers a range of public services to local residents including a library, health centre, community hall, police drop-in facility, cafe and tourist information office.

This equates to a total of 2,700 sq/m of space in the BREEAm ‘Escellent’ rated build.

Martin Westgate, business development director for Robertson in the north of England, said: “In designing the Customer First Centre,

Robertson set out to create a building which meets the needs of the people of Whitley Bay. We’re proud to have delivered this new centre, on time and on budget, and are pleased to see that it is already proving popular.”
