Kingsbarns distillery to move on site
Work to build a new distillery and visitor centre is to commence shortly after the plans were granted full planning permission from Fife Council.

Designed by conservation specialists Simpson & Brown the £3m project will see the renovation and conversion of an existing farm steading.

William Wemyss pf historic distillers the Wemyss family said: "It's been a busy few months working with Historic Scotland, Fife Council planners and a team of architects, designers and engineers to get to this point where we can start to turn the plans into reality.

"Building a distillery is a once-in-a-generation opportunity and we're looking forward to playing our part in the reinvigoration of the Fife distilling tradition."

Construction is expected to take around a year with distilling to start next summer.
