LDA Design launches new Scotland office
LDA Design, the design, environment and energy consultancy, has opened a new office at 158 West Regent Street, Glasgow.

Kirstin Taylor, RMJM’s former principal landscape architect and a director of City Design Co-operative, will jointly lead the new office with Mary Fisher who will relocate from LDA’s Peterborough branch.

They will be joined by senior partner Colin Goodrum as well as Mark Evans and Lauren Taylor, Together they will enable LDA to better service clients north of the border across a range of disciplines including masterplanning and urban design; strategic land promotion and development planning; landscape architecture; public realm design and delivery; renewable energy; energy & sustainability consultancy; and ecology.

Principally this work will entail preparation of creative delivery strategies for the redevelopment of disused and redundant sites as well as steering complex regeneration projects through the planning process.

Speaking to Urban Realm Taylor said: “Landscape Architects and environmental designers are continuing to gain an increasingly critical importance in terms of the sustainable planning of our cities and natural resources therefore we believe the profession, and our specific role in the industry will continue to expand.

“The primary objective of LDA Design's Glasgow office is to offer exceptional services. We want to become part of the community in Scotland, grow our team, and work hard for existing clients as well as future ones.”

Recently LDA Design includes developing proposals for South Kyle Wind farm for Vattenfall, as well as the preparation of earlier regeneration strategies for Leith Docks and Ravenscraig.
