Work commences on South Fife Transport Hub
Work to create a new £10m transport hub at Halbeath, Fife, has got underway in support of the new Forth Crossing.

Contractor Robertson is about to commence work on the hub facilities which will entail creation of a dedicated bus interchange and bus lanes on the M90 for commuters heading to and from Edinburgh by car.

Funded by Transport Scotland and operated by Fife Council Halbeath Park and Choose has been designed by Mouchel and incorporates 24 charging points for electric cars, retail unit and facilities building for bridge traffic.

Andrew Cowan, Robertson Group CEO, said: "The construction of Fife's transport hub will revolutionise the way transport links operate in Fife. It will make it quicker and more user friendly for the public and businesses alike. We have planned the delivery of this scheme to be efficient, with careful planning to ensure that the positive economic impact is maximised. Once complete the unique design will become a landmark for the town."
