Media hub provides a fillip to Stornoway's creative industries
ZM Architecture has unveiled a new creative industries and media hub on Stornoway, Isle of Lewis, following completion of site works by John Murray & Co.

Built for Comhairle Nan Eilean Siar the 520m2 Creative Industries and Media Centre is located on Sandwick Road, within a former Harris Tweed textile mill.

The £2.1m complex is intended to support and encourage the growth of creative industries in the Outer Hebrides by providing an environment in which creative individuals and businesses can develop - whilst also catering for the expansion of MG Alba, a provider of Gaelic television programming.

The resultant media complex is the latest in a series of cultural additions to the island; including Malcolm Fraser’s Lews Castle revamp.
