Carluccio’s open Glasgow restaurant

Carluccio’s open Glasgow restaurant
Carluccio’s, an Italian restaurant, food shop and delicatessen, has opened a new outlet on Glasgow’s West Nile Street in time for the Christmas rush.

Completed by Design LSM the store incorporates a mixture of food displays and a deli visible from its shop window whilst a sweeping marble bar provides a space to lounge.

A restaurant space to the rear sits in front of an open plan kitchen area offering a range of Italian cuisine.

Amongst the celebrities invited to the star-studded opening party were: Paolo Nutini; Gio and Nicola Benedetti; Kirsty Wark; Clare Grogan; John Amabile; Kaye Adams; Suzie McGuire; Richard Gough and Tam Cowan.

Great!

That means I'll be allowed to take my pet rat in for a wee bite, no problem.

I've given Carluccio's a go a couple of times in both Nottingham and London, and have to say while the decor is trendy enough, the food has been consistantly pretty bland.
I'd stop by for a glass of wine or coffee perhaps, but not for dinner!

went on day 1, for coffee. Staff outnumbered guests, but we had to ask twice for the coffee (they forgot us). I saw several people leave without being served. It didn't make me want
to go back.
