Adams Kara Taylor directors announce management buy out
Adams Kara Taylor, the structural and civil engineering firm, has again become an independent company following the successful negotiation of a management buy out.

The £3.75m sale was brokered with former owners, consultants WYG, who purchased the practice in 2006 for £10.5m.

It sees the firm re-branded as AKT II, retaining original directors Robin Adams, Hanif Kara and Albert Williamson-Taylor who will now be joined by Paul Scott and Gerry O’Brien as equity directors.

Kara said: “We are of course delighted to be making this move to regain our independence and we look forward to continue facing the challenges, both commercial and intellectual, that we enjoy engaging with.”

The MBO is being supported by the Swedish engineering group Tyrens.
