Former RMJM CEO joins Graeme Massie Architects
Brian Stewart, erstwhile CEO of RMJM, has been appointed as a director at Graeme Massie Architects in order to boost the practices international connections and foster fresh collaborations.

Stewart is recognised within the architectural community for leading RMJM’s contribution to the design and delivery of the Scottish parliament building together with subsequent appearances at the Fraser Inquiry, a review of the parliament’s timeline and budget.

Massie said: “Brian’s experience in managing high profile, high budget buildings across the world will be instrumental in growing the practice whilst broadening its project portfolio. For a young architectural practice to be supported and advised by such a prominent and respected design industry figure is an invaluable opportunity for greater presence in the market, in addition to giving clients greater comfort with regards to the delivery of high quality buildings.”

Stewart added: “Throughout my career my commitment has been to innovative, creative and forward-thinking design.  Graeme’s uncompromising standards and intuitive design skills are renowned and I am delighted to be joining his team.”

Graeme Massie was named architect of the year at the 2010 Scottish Design Awards.

An amazing person and boss! Still as handsome as ever after 30 years! Seems like he has been through hell but has come through, well done Brian. I think of you often.
