Holmes taste Suite success
Holmes architects have completed the remodelling of a string of mid-Victorian buildings on St Giles Street off Edinburgh’s Royal Mile for Fraser Suites.

The conversion transforms the David Bryce designed buildings into an apartment hotel including studios, one bed apartments and suites.

In addition to structural works Holmes also tackled interior design, scouring the world for fabrics and furnishings, ultimately settling on contemporary French décor in each apartment.

Combined with retained panelled walls and decorative ceilings this provides the hotel with a distinctive look.

Fraser Suites have plans to build a second scheme in Edinburgh’s Shrubhill designed by Broadway Malyan and have plans for a new build scheme on Glasgow’s Broomielaw designed by RMJM.
