Archials Small Animal Hospital wins big
Archials Small Animal Hospital reigned supreme at last weeks GIA Awards, doubtless the practice will be hoping their win will give the project a timely boost for Friday’s Andrew Doolan Award.

The Centre for Veterinary Medicine is located within the Garscube Estate, Glasgow, providing diagnostic, surgical and therapeutic medicines for animal owners.

Key to Archials approach was retention of as much green space as possible through an extensive green roof, providing public space for socialising.

Stone filled gabion baskets hold this structure up, emphasising the distinction between roof and ground.

This looks to me like a very good execution with some positive touches that ensures it fits in with its environment. Will need to go and have a look at this next time I'm in Glasgow.
