Maternity matters
Keppie are celebrating successful delivery of their latest baby, the Ayrshire Maternity Unit at Crosshouse Hospital.

The facility joins six siblings across the country, all belonging to the Keppie family.

Built through PFI/PPP procurement by Ayrshire Hospitals Ltd the £16m facility will be the main NHS Maternity centre for Ayrshire and Arran for a lease period of 30 years.

Designed around a figure of eight plan the two storey centre provides 57 beds, accommodating up to 3,500 annual births and encompasses all aspects of maternity care, from early pregnancy assessments through to neonatal care.

Crosshouse Maternity Unit was completed on time and in budget.
