Archial dancing on ice
Archial architects have secured a contract to design the £4m National Curling Academy in Kinross.

The facility for the National Curling Academy will bring a six sheet curling rink, offices, meeting rooms, museum and support facilities to the Perthshire town.

Kinross has long established links with the world of curling and is home to the Kinross Curling Club, the oldest such club in the world.  Scotland enjoys a fine pedigree in the sport, nabbing a slew of golds at the 2002 winter Olympics, the new facility should enhance prospects of a repeat.

The national Curling Academy is scheduled to be operational in time for the 2010/11 season.
