The Living Building Challenge An Introduction and Launch of the Scotland Collaborative
Date: 24 Feb 2017 - 24 Feb 2017
Time: 18:30 - 20:30
Town/City: Collective Architecture, 26 Gallowgate, Glasgow, G1 5AB
What if every single act of design and construction made the world a better place? The Living Building Challenge is the world’s most
rigorous proven performance standard for buildings, a regenerative design framework to create spaces that, like a flower, give more than they take.
The event will include :
• Opening message from CEO of International Living Future Institute Amanda Sturgeon FAIA
• an introduction talk about The Living Building Challenge by Martin Brown, Fairsnape, LBC Ambassador and Facilitator, author of FutuREstorative
• an opportunity to discuss the format for the Scotland Collaborative and future workshops
There are currently 96 collaboratives in 47 countries globally who meet regularly to increase awareness of the Challenge, to explore and advocate for implementation of regenerative sustainability. The Scotland Collaborative will build on the work of the UK Collaborative founded in Leeds to focus on Scottish sustainability matters. Follow us @Scot_LBC Living Building Challenge Collaboratives are a key part of The Living Future Network community of change-makers, people with the same innovative and sometimes unusual philosophy to create a world that is socially just, culturally rich and ecologically restorative
