Quayside Marina Apartments

The existing Fisherman’s Association Site is in a prime location in the Harbour area overlooking the Inner Harbour Marina and will more than likely be the last remaining Site for potential development within the Harbour. The development is located only 60m from the sea ideally situated close to the Marina and High Street.

The development consists of ten luxury apartments ranging in size from three luxury penthouses to a further seven two-bedroom dwellings.

The apartments, Quayside Marina, will provide fantastic sea views over the Harbour and the Tay Estuary with contemporary living spaces appointed to the highest standards. Stone walls bound and contain Brothock Water which currently flows through a culvert under the Fisherman’s Association’s Site.  The waterway is proposed to be opened up exposing the water course and alleviating water back up during high tides.  The stone walls were retained and repointed forming a solid base to the proposed new building development.  

The scale of the proposed dwellings respect that of the existing street scene and the introduction of lean-to’s, slate and metal roofs, timber clad and white smooth cement rendered walls reflect the spirit of building form and materials of, in particular, the rear of Marketgate and the ‘Black Shed’ overlooking the inner harbour.  A contemporary style of architecture incorporating these characteristics reflect and link the past with the future adding to the ‘new era’ of the harbour.  

The completed building reflects a development of contemporary design modelled to reflect the scale of Marketgate whilst acknowledging the future of the Harbours transformation as a modern Marina supporting the regeneration of Arbroath attracting inward investment.
