Made this collage from a photograph I took of the Clydeport Finneston Crane. I imagined creating a penthouse apartment on top and within the wee crane operators 'house' on the top ... with a few alterations.
Nick Blair, Alistair Brand, Mark Hamilton and I's proposal for the RIAS Cowgate Library Competition which we narrowly lost out on to Benson and Forsyth. Having just left Gordon Bensons Architectural Unit that year we were motivated to show our teacher how far we had come. Great experience. Note out of the five hundred entries we where the only architects to propose keeping the Cowgate Church.
